CHAMPAGNE GIRARD-BONNET - AU BOUT DU CHEMIN NV

From Vertus and Voipreux. Readers will find a potent Blanc de Blancs that shows the more savory and phenolic side of Chardonnay. Dried herbs, chamomile, tangerine peel, mint, slate and chalk literally stain the palate. There's real depth and resonance here. 93 points - Antonio Galloni, Vinous. Extra Brut. 100% Chardonnay.

DOMAINE GAVOTY - ROSE "CIGALE" VDP

The 2025 Rosé La Cigale wafts up with a pretty blend of dried flowers and dusty stone, complicating scant yellow peach. It's soothingly round with a pulse of vibrant acidity that propels its juicy orchard fruits and hints of citrus across textures of pure silk. It leaves a lovely inner sweetness and the mouth watering for more as chalky mineral tones linger long. 90 points - Eric Guido, Vinous. Cinsault 80%, Syrah 10%, Grenache 10%

DUPRAZ - LES TERRES BLANCHES - APREMONT 2024 

Fresh pear flavours, spicy quince, big structure and volume for a vibrant, refreshing finale. You get lovely freshness of fruit and a clean, bitter end, but without the wine ever being too hot, too opulent or too overweight. It has lots of sappy, aromatic green fruit and a floral touch on the nose, the palate echoing those notes with ample lift from the ringing, bell-clear acidity. 100% Jacquere.

DOMIANE SPARR - RIESLING "SENTIMENT" 2024

The citrus and wet-stone intensity gives this wonderful vitality. This interlocks neatly on the crisp, medium-bodied palate. A very vibrant finish that pulls you back for more of this wonderfully invigorating wine. A cuvee of wines from all this producer’s single-vineyard sites. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold. 93 points, James Suckling. 100% Riesling.

DOMAINE REGIS MINET - POUILLY-FUME "VIEILLES VIGNES" 2025

This wine is showing spectacular fresh flavours of apple, blackcurrant bud, kiwi and subtle wet stone. On the palate the aromatic explodes with numerous layers of fruits driven by a mouth-watering acidity. It is perfect to drink now. 100% Sauvignon Blanc.

JOSEPH COLIN - SAINT-AUBIN 1ER CRU "PITANGERET" 2024

2023 Review - Previously a blend with Combe that took that name but no Combes in it now so – Pitangerets A more open volume of aroma. Airy and fresh. Extra vibrancy to these flavours, finely mouth-watering too – really stony finishing – almost chalky. A different style and a different texture and I love it! DOMAINE ROUGEOT - BOURGOGNE ALIGOTE "LES PLUMES" NATURE 2023

A touch of colour here. Just a light nuttiness. My first thought is that this wine made with no sulphur additions is lightly oxidative but experience of Les Plumes suggests that this soon disappears. Really complex, with citrus notes forming a backbone with ripe apples round the edges. This wine did indeed freshen up rapidly with exposure to air. 90 points - Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy. 100% Aligote.

TRAPADIS - COTE DU RHONE RED "PETITE COTE" 2023

Aromas of red fruits, cherry, garrigue and pepper. Soft tannins, nice finish on small red fruits. This Petit Côte de Trapadis is a pretty Côte du Rhône which has substance, freshness and fruit. Cultivated biodynamically there is also finesse! 100% Grenache.

ROUGEOT-DUPIN - BOURGOGNE PINOT NOIR 2022 

The wine has a subtle nose of cherry, fresh liquorice, sous-bois, raspberry and a captivating floral bouquet. The palate is finely structured, light to medium bodied with fresh fruits, fine spices and a long finish. It’s delectable to drink now or cellar for a couple of years. 100% Pinot Noir.

MARLI RUSSELL - RP2 RED 2024 

The 2024 RP2 opens with an exuberant and immediately appealing bouquet of fresh cherry, raspberry and plum, the bright primary fruit entwined with notes of liquorice, musk and an array of secondary spice. On the palate the wine is light to medium bodied, focused and refreshing in character, with flavours of pomegranate and wild strawberry giving way to darker, more brooding fruit nuances on the mid-palate. The tannins are soft and seamlessly integrated, providing an elegant structural framework that speaks well to the wine's cellaring potential. A beautifully composed Southern Rhône-inspired blend that rewards both early enjoyment and patient cellaring over the next five to ten years. 70% Grenache, 30% Shiraz

JEAN-LUC JAMET - COTE DU RHONE "ENCLAVE" 2022

Named for the fact that these vines are nearly surrounded by parcels classified as Côte Rôtie, the 2020 Cotes du Rhone l'Enclave was bottled the week before I arrived at the domaine. Yet the wine was looking good, with lovely raspberry and strawberry fruit, ample weight and richness on the palate and a long, silky finish. Fun stuff. 91 pts, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate (2020). 100% Syrah.

DOMAINE GAUBY - CALCINAIRES RED 2024 

These winemaking choices ensure the final wine is fresh and vibrant, with notes of bright red and black fruit, wild rosemary and thyme, complemented by ripe, supple tannins. 50% Syrah, 25% Mourvedre, 15% Grenache Noir, 10% Carignan.
