Domaine Rougeot - Bourgogne Pinot Noir "Les Vaux" Nature 2022

More chalky soil here, the vines are practically behind the cuverie of Coche-Dury. A more meaty and saline nose – some destemming here – 30% – ‘a wine that always needs 18 months of aging.’ Mouth-filling with enviable freshness and energy again – meaty style to the fruit once more – good wine. Strong finishing… Bill Nanson, Burgundy Report. 100% Pinot Noir.

Mee Godard - Morgon "Grand Cras" 2023

Welcome to the deep end of Morgon, where forest-berry aromas meet wet earth. Understated power and concentration are married to a certain austerity. The superfine tannins deftly carry the very long and refined finish. Drink or hold. 96 points - James Suckling. 100% Gamay.

Philippe Alliet - Chinon "Coteau de Noire" 2021

The 2021 Chinon Coteau de Noiré stands out as exceptional. It unfolds in the glass with aromas of lead pencil, liquorice, dark wild berries and cassis. Full-bodied, dense and chunky, it’s seamless and velvety with a layered core of fruit framed by powdery, generous tannins that segues into a long, mineral finish framed by perfectly controlled power. I appreciate wines like this that purely express the terroirs and are capable of long ageing. 95 points, Yohan Castaing, Wine Advocate. 100% Cabernet Franc.

Domaine Gavoty - Rose "Clarendon" 2022

Pale pink hue, with a subtle nose of rose and white-fleshed fruit. On the palate, fat and volume support the fresh fruit with refinement. It is full and crystalline, with its aromas of fruit as well as its voluptuousness. It brings contrast with its elegant freshness, perfect wine for the table. Drink now. 70% Grenache, 30% Cinsault.

Chateau de Bel-Air - Lalande de Pomerol 2015

The 2015 Bel-Air is a very pretty, gracious wine. Bright red stone fruit, tobacco and floral notes give it aromatic lift and plenty of sensuality to match its midweight personality. All the elements are very nicely balanced throughout. Antonio Galloni, Vinous. 73% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Domaine Sparr - Pinot Noir "Carpe Diem" 2022

Complex floral and rooty nose. This medium-bodied pinot noir is not enormously concentrated, but has wonderful textural complexity and finely-nuanced sour cherry fruit. Cranberry freshness at the crisp and delicate finish. A cuvee of wines from the Altenbourg and Rosenberg sites. Drink or hold. 91pts, James Suckling. 100% Pinot Noir.

Domaine Sparr - Riesling "Altenbourg" 2022

Even the nose of this great Alsace dry riesling is dense and exotic, with floral and honey notes. Rich, full-bodied and powerful, but with a lovely clementine freshness. The fine tannins give this a stunningly silky finish. This is very impressive now, but with further bottle age it should improve. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold. 95 points, James Suckling. 100% Riesling.

Domaine Gauby - Calcinaires white 2023

Nose with notes of grapefruits, plum, orange blossom and honeysuckle. The palate has big volume with sumptuous texture and a refreshing and lingering finish. The first white of the Gauby family, incredible value for money. 50% Grenache Blanc, 20% Macabeu, 30% Chardonnay.

Jean-Luc Jamet - Cote du Rhone white "Couzou" 2020

Scents of scorched orange zest, toasted marshmallow and white gumdrop emerge on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is plump and generous, and the wine finishes long, with a gentle edge of bitterness that provides a bit of freshness and focus. Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate. 2019 review. 60% Marsanne, 20% Roussanne, 20% Viognier.

Domaine Du Bouchot - Pouilly-Fume "Caillottes" 2022

Ripe citrus fruit, dried apricot and floral character, enriched by a dense layer of smooth minerals on the nose and palate. Medium-bodied with great poise and balance, creating an intense yet at the same time relaxed mouthfeel and a long finish. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Classy. Drink now. 93 pts, James Suckling. 100%  Sauvignon Blanc.

Domaine Tessier - Bourgogne Chardonnay Cote D'Or 2023

The 2023 Bourgogne Côte d'Or Blanc offers tropical fruit on the nose, perhaps a little later-picked but with sufficient freshness. The palate is balanced with moderate complexity. This is a more textural Bourgogne Côte d'Or to drink over the next couple of years. Neal Martin, Vinous. 100% Chardonnay.

Domaine Belargus - Anjou "Ronceray" 2022

The 2022 Ronceray is derived from vines planted on the Quarts-de-Chaume appellation but vinified as dry white wine. It reveals a complex, deep bouquet with aromas of almonds, white flowers, orchard fruits and white pepper combined with a reductive character. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and satiny, it has a deep core of fruit that segues into a tense, gently austere finish. It's matured in foudres and 500-liter barrels. 90-92 points - Yohan Castaing, Wine Advocate. 100% Chenin Blanc.
