Alex Rougeot & the Clos Cachet team have reimagined La Paulee de Meursault into a Melbourne based event. Alex has long awaited the chance to introduce the concept of La Paulée de Meursault, a tradition that celebrates the end of harvest for the winemakers, to Australians.

For those that know of La Paulée de Meursault, you would have heard of the name Hubert Rougeot, once Mayor of Meursault. As a man who is at the soul of the village, he has not missed a La Paulée since 1951. He has watched it grow, and been a primary element as to why Meursault has gained worldwide recognition, along with the constant development and expansion of La Paulée. Alex is Hubert Rougeot’s grandson, and finds it the perfect connection to bring to life such an incredible event here in Victoria.

Melbourne is in the heart of some of Australia's most excited wine regions, and is naturally a place where culture is shared, and appreciated. With a focus on bringing the spirit and culture of Burgundy to Australia, we are turning our focus on local Victorian vineyards and their wines. With Victoria having some of the best climates for Australian Chardonnay & Pinot Noir, there is an exquisite range of wines to represent how the Victorians take on these noble grapes.

We aim to provide an entertaining event with delicious food acting as a platform for winemakers, wine lovers, restauranteurs, wine professionals to bring and share their wines with one another, along with bountiful amounts of music and laughter.
