La Perle D'Arche 2022
Founded in 1580 by Henry d’Arche it is one of the oldest estates in the Sauternes appellation. Currently they have 30 hectares of vines, primarily Semillon. Set in the heart of Sauternes village, the team of Chateau d’Arche led by Matthieu Arroyo, oenologist and researcher, creates wines of Grand Cru Classé as if creating a piece of art. This Chateau set 40 km south of Bordeaux continues to produce rare artisanal products, “cousu main à la Française”.
This is a rich, concentrated, golden-coloured Sauternes that has notes of honey, dried apricots and almonds with some tangu acidity for balance. Drink after dinner, with dessert or with a mature strong cheese.
90% Semillon, 9% Sauvignon Blanc, 1% Muscadelle
