Domaine Tabordet - Sancerre White 2023

The Sancerre White is in a clean, crisp and mineral Sauvignon Blanc.

In the village of Verdigny, Domaine Tabordet was formed from 4.5 hectares of vines in the 1960s by Raymond Tabordet. Later passed onto his two sons, Yvon and Pascal in 1981 the estate began to expand to the appellation of Pouilly-Fumé. Today Marius Tabordet, along with his cousin Gaël operates the domaine under the guidance of Pascal. Marius monitors the vines, performs the vinification, and bring to life the signature of Tabordet within their expanding domaine of 16 hectares in Pouilly-Fume and 5 hectares in Sancerre.

The 2023 Sancerre comes from a blend of parcels on chalky soils. This is transparent, gentle and floral, with pure apple fruit notes. The 2023 has a fine, delicate finish. 90 points - Rebecca Gibb, Vinous.

Clean, crisp and mineral, with a mid-weight palate and great energy. Not overly citrusy up front, there is a nice balance of bright aromatics and mineral depth that makes it a versatile option with or without food. The acidity is focused and zippy, with a textured palate that rounds things out in an elegant way.
