TASTING NOTES
Rougeot-Dupin - Montagny 1er Cru 2022
The first nose is powerful with notes of brioche, fresh oak, and vanilla. The underlying white peach and citrus notes are refreshing a beautifully rich and comforting wine. On the palate, the medium bodied Montagny 1er cru is showcasing its pedigree with ease. It’s a long and rich finish, with enough minerality to bring a tasty finesse.
Rougeot-Dupin - Mercurey white 2019
Very fresh, it has quite delicate fruit : limestone minerality and blossom including rose, lilac and narcissus. It has good liveliness while being full-fleshed with good, balanced body. This wine is ready to drink or may be cellared for 3 to 5 years or more.
Champagne Dehours - Coteaux White "Les Vignes de Mizy" 2018
The bouquet is generous and expressive, at first offering rich stone fruit, oyster shell minerals and subtle iodized tones, before light woody notes appear alongside coffee aroma. The palate is zippy and zingy with juicy citrus and stone fruits, and saline minerals on the finish.
Domaine Berthier - Vin De France L'Instant Chardonnay 2023
The beautiful bouquet opens up with flavours of wet rocks, complimentary leesy character, and lemon peel in the back. Once aerated, the nose blossoms with subtle orange zest, and a sappy character. On the palate, the attach is vivacious, rich, with ample fruit weight, and a clean vibrant finish. A little bit of stone fruits emerge, and compliments the finish. Lovely.
Domaine de Bel Air - Beaujolais white 2023
With its ripe pear and white flower character, this stands out in the field of white Beaujolais, showcasing a warmer side of the chardonnay grape to the norm. Very good balance of creaminess and fine tannin on the palate. No so long, but smooth at the finish. Drink now 90pts - James Suckling.
Domaine 47N3E - Petit Chablis 2022
This Petit Chablis is the expression of a mosaic or terroirs. The clay-limestone and white marl soils offer it a mineral and chiselled breadth.
