Henri Chauvet - Braconnage VDF 2024
The Braconnage is a fresh and slender Gamay from purchased grapes in Coteaux du Lyonnais..
Since 2021, Henri Chauvet has been the custodian of 10.5 hectares of diverse vineyards in Boudes, Auvergne. Henri has pursued his new calling with unwavering dedication, determined to reveal the remarkable terroirs of the region. Guided by his deep respect for place, he crafts wines that faithfully reflect the hillsides surrounding his home.
Fresh, slender, and very lively Gamay, carried by aromas of small red fruits, crunchy cherry, raspberry, and redcurrant. The floral notes, slightly spicy, can recall peony, fine pepper, and a noble vegetal touch linked to the whole harvest. On the palate, the wine favours drinkability, with a supple texture, delicate tannins, and acidity that naturally lengthens the finish. The finish is salivating, fruity, and slightly peppery, in a style of precise, digestible, and expressive natural red. It can be drunk young, ideally slightly chilled.
