Tasting Notes

This Seuvrees is delicious with a burst of intensity on the palate.

Edouard Confuron hails from the 6 generation family Domaine, Confuron-Gindre, located on Rue de La Tâche. While working with his father, François Confuron-Gindre, he has slowly – and successfully, created his own distinct style of wines now presented through his own micro-domaine. The 2021 vintage is the first formal representation of Edouard's personal range of wines. He handpicks grapes from a selection of his father's plots across Vosne-Romanee, Gevrey-Chambertin, and Nuits St Georges.

Mid purple. A lovely savoury and strawberry bouquet with little immediate evidence of whole bunches. A good crop here so there is a little less concentration, especially towards the finish. A very attractive wine for the medium term. Drink from 2028-2032. Tasted Nov 2025. 90-91 points - Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy.

(from a .17 ha parcel). Bright, fresh and softly earthy aromas are comprised by notes of wild red currant, cherry, plenty of floral nuances and a similar touch of wood influence. The finely detailed and vibrant flavors are not particularly dense but they do offer better depth and length on the moderately rustic and  youthfully austere finale. If you’re willing to be patient for a few years, this is worth considering. 89-91 points - Allen Meadows, Burghound.

 100% Pinot Noir.
