Domaine Rougeot - Bourgogne Chardonnay "Monatine" 2022

This Bourgogne Chardonnay Monatine is rich with bright citrus and fresh.

Domaine Rougeot has a long history of making superb white wines out of the famed village of Meursault. La Monatine is another superregional wine from Domaine Rougeot. Part of the plot is classified as Meursault village wine, and the grapes here are from part of the plot classified as a regional appellation. It is the second year that the Domaine has produced this wine.

Near Sous la Velle. A fuller, richer, nose – plenty of ripe yellow citrus – but fresh too. Extra mouth-filling and much more generous in style – I prefer the last but here’s a great full-flavoured wine! Bill Nanson, Burgundy Report.
