This Bouzy Grand Cru Rosé is very elegant and aromatic.

At Champagne Pierre Paillard, Benoit and his sons Antoine and Quentin are custodians of an eight generation family business; passionately crafting Champagne with extreme finesse. Their 10 hectares of vineyard are ideally located in the village of Bouzy and produce only Grand Cru nectars.

With this Bouzy Champagne Rosé Grand Cru, the Paillards strike again. The nose is deep delivering aromas of red fruit and some hints of flowers.

It is a Chardonnay driven Rosé with 65% Grand Cru Chardonnay and 35% Grand Cru Pinot Noir (of which 6% is added as red wine). The mouthfeel is silky and the bubbles are tiny and elegant. Drink now. Extra Brut - 2.8 grams per liter.

"Very impressive Champagne Bouzy Grand Cru Rosé, full of minerality at first and then some beautiful wild strawberry flavours appear. Your palate will be pleased by the creaminess and the silkiness of the bubbles."

The Champagne Grand Cru Rosé is a blend of the 2015 vintage (70%) and some reserve wine from 2012 (30%). The grape varieties used are Chardonnay accounting for 65% of the blend and Pinot Noir accounting for 35% of which 6% is added as red wine. In Bouzy at Pierre Paillard, the tradition is to blend their Champagne with some “Bouzy rouge”, a special cuvée of dry red wine made from the very qualitative Bouzy grapes. 6% of “Bouzy rouge” has been included into the blend providing a red fruit flavour that you can’t find anywhere else. The dosage is low with 2.8gr/l, which gives a very fresh style of Champagne respecting the terroir. This is the Pierre Paillard signature style.

Finally, the wine and then the Champagne spend 30 months on their lees to mature in the cellar.
