Pierre Girardin - Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "La Romanee" 2022

Pierre-Vincent Girardin is a 13th generation Burgundian winemaker who grew up among the vines in his father’s Domaine. Starting his own label with the family holdings of Les Folatières in Puligny-Montrachet at the age of 21, he has become a formidable force among young winemakers in Burgundy. Expanding beyond the 4.5 hectares, his family contacts brought him access to top growers in Puligny Folatières, Volnay Clos des Chênes, Pommard Epenots, Corton-Charlemagne. 

From a parcel sitting in the South of the village of Chassagne-Montrachet, under the mountain on clay-limestone soil. This wine is hand-harvested then spends 11 months in oak barrels (100% new)and 6 months in steel tanks. This is an electric and exquisite wine with notes of popcorn. Reduction on the nose and palate, can age up to 20 years.

100% Chardonnay.
