The Vie Ordinaire is vibrant.

Since 2021, Henri Chauvet has been the custodian of 10.5 hectares of diverse vineyards in Boudes, Auvergne. Henri has pursued his new calling with unwavering dedication, determined to reveal the remarkable terroirs of the region. Guided by his deep respect for place, he crafts wines that faithfully reflect the hillsides surrounding his home. This cuvee is usually from two plots: a large plot in the heart of the historic hillside of the village with very volcanic soils and a small plot with the rising sun where there are remains of bombs.

A blend of mostly Gamay with a touch of Pinot Noir: in 2024, this blend brings together all of Henri Chauvet’s red wine terroirs, as he was only able to produce a single red cuvée due to frost damage. Predominantly basalt soils (the plots least susceptible to frost).

A floral wine, with notes of rose and iris, enhanced by raspberry and wild strawberry, and a hint of herbs. Elegant and fine on the palate, the texture is once again super beautiful and airy, with a long, floral finish. Decanting recommended.
