Tasting Notes

The Domaine predominantly produces Pinot Meunier in addition to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The Pinot Meunier varietal is best suited to this cooler area of Champagne and is a favourite of the Marne Valley. Dehours Champagnes are eagerly sought by champagne enthusiasts for their renowned “Meunier style;” bold, flavourful and showing a clear terroir-orientated approach.

Since 2013, the Dehours estate has offered a vintage cuvée each year, a blend of a selection of the best wines. The plots and grape varieties that are used in its composition vary every year, reflecting the particularity of each vintage. All the grapes come from the estate, and are grown according to HVE standards, favouring tillage and grassing of the plots. The berries harvested when ripe and carefully sorted are pressed directly and the juices ferment with “house” yeasts, before bottling without clarification or fining.

After 72 months on slats, this vintage brut develops fine bubbles and delicate aromas, combining citrus fruits, pear, white flowers and brioche bread on the nose, highlighted with a smoky nuance. The fresh and fruity palate displays a creamy and persistent texture. 50% Pinot Meunier, 50% Pinot Noir
