CHATEAU MAGNAN LA GAFFELIERES - ST EMILION GRAND CRU 2018
The bouquet blossoms with plush ripe black cherry, plum and cassis, hints of violet, liquorice, mocha and espresso. The palate is fruit-forward with plum, blackberry and subtle notes of cassis, showing well-balanced freshness and tension with fine tannin structure. 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
CHATEAU BARRAIL DU BLANC - ST EMILION GRAND CRU 2016
On the nose, Chateau Barrail du Blanc is plummy with super ripe notes, heavy with dense fruit and delectable charm. The palate is sweet, supple, full flavoured, stylishly grippy with a freshness and length to the finish. 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc.
Chateau de Bel-Air - Lalande de Pomerol 2015
The 2015 Bel-Air is a very pretty, gracious wine. Bright red stone fruit, tobacco and floral notes give it aromatic lift and plenty of sensuality to match its midweight personality. All the elements are very nicely balanced throughout. Antonio Galloni, Vinous. 73% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon
Chateau St Georges Cote Pavie - St Emilion GC 2016
The 2016 Côte Pavie has a medium to deep garnet-purple colour and offers up pure, expressive black cherries, wild blueberries and kirsch scents with touches of menthol, cloves, cedar chest and lilacs. Full-bodied and packed with vibrant, energetic black fruits, it has a firm line of ripe, velvety tannins and bold freshness, finishing very long. 93 pts, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, WA. 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc
CHATEAU LA GRAVE FIGEAC - ST EMILION 2020
A blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc, the 2020 La Grave-Figeac exhibits aromas of cherries, spices and sweet soil tones, followed by a medium to full-bodied, broad but lively palate. It's a strong effort from a property in the ascendant, farmed organically by the former owners of Nenin and l'Evangile. 92 points, William Kelley, Wine Advocate. 65% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc.
LOUIS RAPIN - MONTAGNE-ST-EMILION 2019
Ruby colour, brilliant. Spicy, fresh, toasted, blackcurrant nose. Straight on the palate, fresh, spicy, notes of nutmeg, hazelnut, fresh red fruits. The terroir is still marked by the ample, clean and spicy mouthfeel. Cellaring time: 8-10 years. 100% Merlot.
