La Poire du Roulot is a powerful yet very pure Eau de Vie.

The Roulot family has a long history making exquisite fruit Eaux de Vie and, more recently, fruit liqueur. They were granted distilling permits in 1879. Today, Jean-Marc Roulot continues the tradition whilst enabling evolution and improvements. The Williams pears are sourced at Orches in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune, Burgundy. These are among the tastiest Pears in France.

On the nose, the purity of the pear is brims with lifted notes and a striking balance. You’ll find the essence of what a Williams pear is, contained in this Eau de Vie made in the absolute best way by Jean-Marc’s craft. It can be served by itself, slightly chilled to start in a big balloon glass.

It can be paired with blue cheese or deserts such as Tarte Tatin. It’s also a great companion after the meal. 45% by vol – 500ml.

"La Poire du Roulot is the ultimate Eau de Vie, crafted with the upmost balance. The purity of fruit and the softening texture is key to its success."

Jean-Marc Roulot buys the Williams pear at Orches in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune. These Williams are among the best in France. Once harvested at the right time with Jean-Marc’s eye for fruit ripeness, the pears are fermented in a stainless still tank to then be distilled. The aging is crucial to achieve balance. As such, the young Eau de Vie is carefully kept in glass carboys and stored for several years in attics. To soften and complete its aging, the Eau de Vie must undergo temperature variations for years.
