La Framboise du Roulot is a powerful yet very pure Eau de Vie.

The Roulot family has a long history making exquisite fruit Eaux de Vie and, more recently, fruit liqueur. They were granted distilling permits in 1879. Today, Jean-Marc Roulot continues the tradition whilst enabling evolution and improvements. The Heritage raspberries are sourced in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune, Burgundy. These are among the tastiest raspberries in France.

On the nose, the purity of the raspberry brims with distinct notes and a striking balance. On the palate, dark and red raspberries display a lovely texture and fruit weight. The finish is long, with cool raspberry fruit ticking along on a lifted end. This is powerful but very fine and fresh.

It can be served by itself, slightly chilled to start in a big balloon glass. It can be paired with desserts such as summer fruits salad, ice cream or raspberry tart. It’s a great companion after the meal. 45% by vol – 500ml.

"La Framboise du Roulot is among the very best made in France and you’ll love the texture and cool fruit breathing through."

Jean-Marc Roulot buys the Heritage raspberries in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune. These raspberries are among the best in France. Once harvested at the right time with Jean-Marc’s eye for fruit ripeness, the raspberries are fermented in a stainless steel tank to then be distilled. The aging is crucial to achieve balance. As such, the young Eau de Vie is carefully kept in glass carboys and stored for several years in attics. To soften and complete its aging, the Eau de Vie must undergo temperature variations for years.
