DOMAINE BERNARD GRIPA - SAINT-JOSEPH WHITE 2017
It develops nice flavours of flower and fresh stone fruits on the nose. The taste is delicate and dense, with low acidity and a complex mouthfeel. It would pair well with fish, white meat cooked with butter, or a cream sauce. This wine is better drunk in its youth, with a cellaring potential of four to five years. 70% Marsanne, 30% Roussanne.
JEAN-LUC JAMET - CÔTE DU RHÔNE WHITE "COUZOU" 2017
This wine has a beautiful shiny yellow colour to it; the bouquet opens nicely with pear and apricot with a thread of infused tea and dried fruits. There is a comfortable grasp on the attack of the palate displaying white fruits and saline notes round out the experience alongside a touch of honey. The Viognier displays great character and leaves a good plumpness, and offers textured structure, with nice length. It can be paired with prawns, roast chicken and grilled barramundi. Drink now or keep in the cellar till 2027+. 60% Marsanne, 20% Roussanne, 20% Viognier.
JEAN-LUC JAMET - CÔTE DU RHÔNE RED "L'ENCLAVE" 2018
The colour is deep red and purple. The nose is very present, floating aromas of violets, soaked black cherries, flint, smoke and a lovely savouriness all throughout. The palate is tender though driven and structure with plenty of voluptuous fruits. The final is clean and refreshing. It can be paired with charcuterie, pork roast or simply with the barbecue. Drink now or keep in the cellar up to 2028+. 100% Syrah.
BERNARD GRIPPA - SAINT-JOSEPH RED 2018
Dark red; has a sweet-noted, mulled fruits aroma that comes with overt gourmandise, immediate layers of blackberries. The palate gives black cherry, prune, cocoa, chocolate darkness, firm tannins that are ripe, spontaneous. It ends with raw thrust. The close is squeezy. It’s aromatic, live, ripe, OK to drink young. 100% Syrah
