Domaine Gripa is producing as much white wine as it is red. The vineyards are planted on granite soil specific to Saint Joseph. It develops nice flavours of flower and fresh stone fruits on the nose. The taste is delicate and dense, with low acidity and a complex mouthfeel. It would pair well with fish, white meat cooked with butter, or a cream sauce. This wine is better drunk in its youth, with a cellaring potential of four to five years. 70% Marsanne, 30% Roussanne.

The Couzou cuvée of Côte du Rhône comes from within Côte-Rôtie appellation in Bonnivières in the Côte Brune. The colour is shiny yellow. it has a nicely open nose with pear and apricot with a thread of infused tea, clarity, dried fruits. There is comfortable gras on the attack, with swift grip, a tightening after the squeezy first delivery. White fruits, saline moments appear towards the finish, as well as a touch of honey. This has good character. The Viognier leaves a good plumpness and texture. It has structure, nice length. 60% Marsanne, 20% Roussanne, 20% Viognier (early-mid 1980s) from 1 hectare on quite deep soils on Bonnivières & Champron in Côte-Rôtie.
